Wills, Trusts & Probate
Whether you are wanting to make a Will to make sure your assets go to whom you wish, set up a Trust to protect your assets for the next generation, or to administer the estate of a loved one and apply for Probate, we can assist you.
Wills
Making a Will is important. If you die not having made a Will then your assets will pass under what are called the ‘intestacy rules’ meaning that your assets may not go to whom you wish. By making a Will you have certainty that your wishes will be carried out on your death and that your loved ones will be provided for.
Trusts
In certain circumstances, such as to allow for Inheritance Tax planning, it may be prudent to set up a Trust to make sure that your Will is drafted as efficiently as possible. There are numerous situations where establishing a Trust may be the best option for you and your family and we can offer specialist advice to make sure you make the right decision.
Probate
The death of a loved one is a very upsetting and stressful time. Things are often not made easier with the administrative burden that falls on the family to deal with the deceased’s estate and apply for Probate. At Waller Needham we can handle all aspects of the Probate process from start to finish, explaining the process to you every step of the way.
The Wills, Trusts & Probate department is headed by our two most experienced Partners, Martin Trayford and Chris Waller. Between them they have over 70 years experience and are therefore ideally placed to provide you with the expert advice you need.
